Playing tennis in college is a great way to meet friends and stay active in college.  The best way to get college scholarships is with good grades.  Having a high GPA will help you gain a sports scholarship as well.

How are college tennis scholarships awarded?
For tennis scholarships, there are several levels:

As of 2018
NCAA
 DI
 Several tennis Scholarships
NCAA
DII Three full scholarships, which can be split between players*
NCAA
 DIII
 No scholarships awarded
NAIA NA
Scholarships are available, NAIA is similar or lower level than DIII

Scholarships can be split into two players or more (each player gets half a scholarship).

Not all schools have their scholarships funded, the list above is the maximum number allowed, but there can be fewer.  Scholarships come from the College foundations, which are made up of sports boosters, graduates, etc.
